THE UNITED NATION'S ORGANIZATION


The United Nation Organization was formed on 24th October,1945 after the second world war (1939--1945).It was formed to replace the league of Nations to prevent another world war.The UNO charter was signed by initial fifty--one (51) member countries at San Francisco (USA) in April 1945.It has its headquarters in New York,USA.
The U.N.O charter contains its aims whilst the principles of the UN contain the duties expected of members.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF U.N.O
1. To maintain and promote world Peace and security.
2. To develop friendly relations among nation's.
3. To promote and encourage respect for human rights and freedoms.
4. To promote mutual respect for member States through co--operation in solving economic, social and cultural problems.
5. To prevent the re--occurrence of another world war.
6. To promote unity and brotherliness among all nation's.
