LIBATION (TRADITIONAL PRAYER)
Is the act of pouring down a liquid or liquor to establish communication with spirit.

STATES OF POURING LIBATION
1.In times of trouble
2.During a misfortune
3. Embarking on a journey
4. festivals etc
NOTE: Libation can be done privately or publically. Traditionalists may adopt any posture when praying, one may sit,kneel.,raise hand and head the sky etc

IMPORTANCE OF LIBATION 

  • It strengthens the bond between the worshippers and the supreme being/ancestors/spirit forces
  • It makes the worshipper feel secured. 
  • It enable them to honour the supreme being as the creator. 
  • It serves as a platform to curse their enemies.

SACRIFICE
It is the act of offering something valvable to a deity.it usually involves the shedding of blood.

CIRCUMSTANCES DURING WHICH SACRIFICES ARE MADE

  • Outbreak of diseases, too many deaths, famine and drought. 
  • During occasions like puberty marriage ,festivals etc.

2. alters of smaller gods
3. at cross roads and T Junctions
4. riversides
5. at sac
