 GREETINGS

Greeting is something that you say or do to hello to somebody or welcome him or her.

REASONS WHY WE MUST GREET CORRECTLY 

1. To show that we are cultured and well trained. 
2. It promotes good relationship. 
3. It serves as a good introduction to conversations.
4. To show care and respect for others. 
5. Correct greeting promotes reconciliation and peace. 

HOW GHANAIANS GREET EACH OTHER

 Among age groups, each one has an equal chance in sharing greetings.
Between an elderly person and a younger one,the younger is expected to greet first. If the elderly starts,then he or she finds out how the young is faring or doing; "how are you"?
This seems not to be working in the developed cities but strictly comply within the villages.

IMPORTANCE OF GREETING IN  THE SOCIETY 

1. it brings about unity among the people.
2. it promote friendliness.
3. it promotes respect and orderliness.
4. it reconciles factions.
5. it serves as a good introduction to discussions.
