 Manners describe a person's way of behavior whether good or bad.

TYPES OF MANNERS 

Good manners:they refer to the acceptable way of behaving in society.

MAIN COMPONENTS OF MANNERS

correct greetings, decent dressing, good eating habit,comportment, correct use of language, good personal hygiene and courtesy.

BEHAVIORS THAT CONSTITUTE GOOD HABITS 

1. Using correct form of greetings, such as greeting with the right hand, removing hat on one's when greetings an elderly and bowing or kneeling when greetings a chief.
2. Avoid using left hand in showing directions and giving gifts.
3. Using "please and thank you" when speaking to others.
4.Contolling one's temper .
5 . Treat others the way you want them to treat you
6.putting the interest of others first.
7.Exercing patience.
8. Good eating habits, eg. not rushing for food, not eating with mouth open etc.
9. use healthy and sound language not abusive like stupid, idiot, foolish etc.
10. Behaving properly in and outside the class.
11. Keeping one's room and environment tidy.


EXERCISE 

Give six ( 6 ) benefits of showing good manners in the community.

ASSIGNMENT 

State any five ( 5 ) examples of bad manners in the community.
