THE SECURITY COUNCIL OF UNO


The security council:it is the second major organ of the UNO. It is established mainly to promote peace. It has two categories permanent and non permanent members.Thee permanent members are United States of America, Britain,China,France and Russia.

FUNCTIONS OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL 
1. Maintain world Peace and security.
2. It reports to the general Assembly annual of its work.
3. It's imposes economic sanctions on recalcitrant states
4. It is the body responsible for peace keeping activities.
5. It considers the budget of the organization.
