A sentence is a group of words that expresses a complete thought. A sentence has a subject and a predicate.

The subject is the doer of an action in a sentence. It can be a person, place, thing or idea that the sentence is about. We have two types of subjects:

 THE PREDICATE

The predicate of a sentence says something about the subject.
Let's look at how we can identify the subject and the predicate in a given sentence.

When the subject is taken away, what is left is the predicate.

Examples:
The car was parked under the tree.

In this example, the subject is "The car", since it tells us (what or who) the sentence is about.

What is being said about the car is " was parked under the tree".Therefore that becomes the predicate.

Subject: Wicked people
Predicate: always kill.

Don't forget I said after identifying the subject, what is left is the Predicate.
