Describing words are words that give more information about people,animals,places and things.Describing words are also called Adjectives OR Adjectives include words that describe what something looks like and what it feels like to touch, taste, or smell.

Let us read the following sentences

1.The old lady is walking behind Asaku.

2.The brown dog is under the chair.

3.Oforiwa is wearing a beautiful dress.

4.The two little girls are playing ampe.

5.Give the green book to Kofi.

6.Sam is wearing a blue shirt.
From the sentences above,the words;OLD,BLACK,BEAUTIFUL,LITTLE,GREEN and BLUE all come before a noun and describe or give more information about the noun.They are adjectives.

a)We can use color adjectives to describe fruits and vegetables.
For example we can have:
1. Green pepper.
2. Red tomato.
3. Green pawpaw.
4. Yellow banana.
5. Yellow Mango.
6. Green carrot.
