ANGLES PART V

TYPES OF TRIANGLE
There are three types of triangle.

EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE

An equilateral triangle has:
1. All it's sides equal
2. All interior angles equal 60°.
3. Three lines of symmetry.
4. Rotational symmetry of order.

ISOSCELES TRIANGLE
An isosceles triangle has:
1. Two of it's sides are equal.
2. Two of it's interior angles are equal.
3. One line of symmetry which bisects the base and the angle opposite it. The lines of symmetry is perpendicular to the base.
4. No rotational symmetry.

SCALENE TRIANGLE

A scalene triangle has :
1. All it's sides are of different length.
2. All interior angles are different.
3. No line of symmetry.
4. No rotational symmetry.

RIGHT-ANGLED TRIANGLE

A right-angled triangle has one interior angle which is 90°.
The sum of the square of the two sides forming the right angle is equal to the square of the third side.
