LOW BLOOD PRESSURE (HYPOTENSION)
1. Low blood pressure is defined primarily by signs and symptoms of low blood flow through the arteries and veins.
2. When the flow of blood is too low to deliver enough oxygen and nutrients to vital organs such as the brain, heart, kidney; the organs fo not function normally and may be permanently damaged.
3. Unlike high blood pressure, which is defined on the basics o blood pressure of 90/50 and have no signs or symptoms of low blood pressure, and , therefore, not have low blood pressure of 130/80 may develop low blood pressure symptoms and signs if their blood pressure drops to 100/60.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
1. Dizziness
2. Fainting
3. Lack of Concentration
4. Blurred vision
5. Nausea
6. Cold, sweaty, pale skin
7. Rapid, shallow breathing
8. Fatigue
9. Depression
10. Thirst

CAUSES OF LOW BLOOD PRESSURE
1. Reduced blood volume, which can have many different causes. Causes may include the following:
i. Haemorrhage, massive blood loss
ii . Not drinking enough fluids such as water or juice .
iii . Persistent diarrhoea or vomiting
2. Excessive use of diuretics. Diuretics are drugs that cause the body to produce excessive amounts of urine, which can reduce the amount of fluid in the body very quickly.
3. Decreased cardiac( heart) output. This is usually caused by heart failure of some type.
4. Malnutrition
5. Changes the blood sugar levels.
6. Hormonal changes


PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF LOW BLOOD PRESSURE
1. Regular exercise
2. Eating a balance diet
3. Launching to bring about mood change especially when one is unhappy or depressed.
4. Drinking alot of water
5. Adopting a healthy lifestyle.
6. Seeking medical care.
