SUNLIGHT AS A BASIC SOURCE OF ENERGY FOR PLANTS

We have learnt that living things, like plants, cannot live without sunlight. This is because sunlight helps plants in many ways. Let us learn more about how plants need sunlight to live;

1. Sunlight helps plants to grow.

2. Sunlight helps plants to prepare their own food.

3. Some plants will only flower when they get enough sunlight.

4. When they is no sunlight, plants are easily attacked by diseases.

5. Sunlight helps fruits to ripe and some seeds to dry.
