INTRODUCTION
The everyday materials are used in so many ways . Some of the ways we use these materials are follows :1. Paper is light and opaque.
It is used to print text books, exercise books, newspapers and drawing pads.
2. Textiles are light and do not tear easily and can be sewn in any design.
Textiles can be used to make clothes.
3. Wood is strong and rigid and can easily be cut into shapes.
Wood is used to make furniture,doors and windows.
4. Glass is brittle and transparent.
It is used for wind screens and window and door screens.
Bottles,bulbs, and some plates are made from glass.
5. Metals heat up easily.
They are also hard and are not easily broken.
6. Rubber can be stretched.
Rubber is also used to make car and bicycle tyres.
Also, footballs, erasers and balloons are made from rubber.
7.plastics are strong and be moulded into shapes.
They are used to make household items.
Examples are forks, spoons, buckets, cups and bowls.
8.leather is a hard and strong material and can be stretched without breaking.
Leather is used to make shoes and bags.
