THE TEACHINGS OF PROPHET MOHAMMED 

Muhammed, apart from the contents of the Holy Quaran, also gave some teachings in the Hadith( accounts of Muhammed) Examples...

1. Talks about charity: providing for the poor and the needs . This is justified by zakat, an Islamic pillar. 
2. kindness to young ones:In his account ,he talked about providing for them by sheltering, feeding and clothing them.
3. Disrespect to parents:the Prophet deliberated on the need to respect not abuse our parents, because it is through our parents that we came to into this world . Therefore they should be accorded the necessary respect they deserve and Allah will bless us. 
4. Goodness to friends and neighbors:The Prophet entreated all Muslims to be good to their friends and neighbors. He taught all Muslims to show love and compassion to them in times of need and sorrow thus sharing all that we have. 
5. Respect to the Elders:He said it is of great importance to respect the elders because when any young person respects an elder because he is old, he will get people to respect him when he grows.

EXERCISE 

Explain five (5) reasons why we should respect our parents and the Elders. 

ASSIGNMENT 

Give five ( 5 ) moral lessons learnt from the teachings of the Holy prophet Muhammed.
