IMPORTANCE OF TREES IN OUR ENVIRONMENT BS 3

INTRODUCTION 

Do you have trees in or flowers in  your house ?  Do you know that trees provide fresh air for us. Trees are very important for both humans and animals. Do you Know that there is a saying that the last man will die the very the day the last tree dies? The statement shows how important trees are to human life .

IMPORTANCE OF TREES IN OUR COMMUNITIES

 Trees are very in important in our environment. Here are some of them.

1. Cleaning air:. Trees help to clean air when it is polluted . Trees provide fresh air to support human and animal life. The fresh air human beings receive from trees is oxygen.

2. Providing shade:   Trees provide shade for human beings. Animals also rest and under trees.

3. Providing food : Tree provide food in the form of fruits for human beings and animals.

4. Providing medicine: we use the leaves , branches,roots, fruits,bark and flowers of trees to treat many diseases in our communities.  Examples are mango tree,odum tree, pawpaw tree and others.

5. Providing shelter (home): Trees serve as home or sleeping place for animals. Examples are  birds,snakes, lizards and squirrels.

6. For decoration : Trees are grown to beautify our homes , schools and community. The colour of flowers makes the environment looks attractive.
