To  round off a three -digit number , check the digit in the tens place. If it less than 5, maintain the digit  in the hundreds place and replace Tens and Ones with Zeros but if the digit in the Tens place is more than 5 add 1 to the digit in hundreds place and replace the digits in Tens and Ones with Zeros.

     EXAMPLES
1.  Round off 467 to the nearest hundreds.

 SOLUTION
The digit in the Tens place is 6.6 is greater than 5. So add 1 to the digit in the hundreds place . And the digit in the hundreds place is 4.(4+1=5) and replace the digit in the Tens place which is 6 with a zero  and the digit in the Ones place also  which 7 with a zero to get this: 467 to 500.
