SUBTRACTION means taking away a smaller group of number from a larger group of number. Here we will learn subtracting 2-digit numbers without regrouping and start working with easy numbers to get familiar with the subtraction of 2-digit numbers.

HOW TO SUBTRACT 2-DIGIT NUMBERS WITHOUT REGROUPING

EXAMPLE 1

Subtract first the ones place digit ( 6 - 4 = 2 )

Then subtract the tens place digit ( 7 - 1 = 6 )

Then the answer is.  7 6
                                   - 14

Subtract first the ones place digit ( 3 - 1 = 2 )

Then subtract the tens place digit ( 5 - 4 = 1 )

Subtract first the ones place digit ( 6 - 3 = 3 )
