Proper Fractions : A proper fraction is a fraction in which the numerator is less than the denominator.
Examples are : 2/3, 4/5, 3/7, 1/3, 1/2, etc.
Improper Fractions : An improper fraction has it's numerator greater than the denominator.
Examples are : 13/5, 4/3, 5/2, 3/2, 9/7, etc.
Like Fractions : Two or more fractions are said to be are said to be like if they have the same denominator. For example 2/3, 3/5, and 4/5 are like fractions.
Unlike Fractions : Unlike fractions have different denominators. For example, 1/5 and 2/3 are unlike fractions.
Mixed Fractions : Mixed numbers contains both whole numbers and fractional parts. For example , 3½ and 2⅔ are mixed numbers.
