During celebration of occasions ,new friends are made to promote peace and unity. People also learn new things especially during festival and installation of chiefs. Do you know that celebration helps to reduce stress ? This means that celebration has positive impact on individuals and the community. In this lesson ,we shall look at ways by which celebration if festivals can benefit the communities.

WAYS OF MAKING FESTIVALS BENEFICIAL TO THE COMMUNITIES
Celebration of occasions has many benefits to the people who celebrate them and the communities . We will talk about strategies of making celebration of festivals beneficial to the communities.1. Use festival occasions to plan for development: celebration of festivals hepls the community to plan for development. During festivals, political leaders and other dignitaries are invited. This enables the chief to announce any developmental projects in the community. They sometimes raise money to support the projects.
2. Enourage youth participation: one of celebrations which encourage youth participation in festivals. During festivals, the youth conduct clean up exercises like clearing all the bushes and chocked gutters to make the community Clean.
3. Showcasing the culture of the people: many people celebrate festivals in order to showcase some of their rich cultures in the community. All the tribes have special rich culture. You can only see them when you attend their festival celebration.
4. Honour hardworking people: people are honoured during the celebration of festivals. Mostly, hardworking people of the community are recognized and honoured for their contribution to the development of the community.
