The changing of 24hr time to 12hr time is done when one is using a digital clock. With the digital clocks or watch, there are some which displays 12hr time and also 24hr. There is a need to change such watches or clocks that uses 24hr time to 12hr time.
In a day, we have 24hours but the analog clock has only 12 digits on it's surface. Why?
This is because, any of the numbers on the surface of the clock finds itself in the morning and evening.
Now if a friend is to tell you that the time is 00.00 o'clock, what will be your reaction?
That time isn't the proper way. Therefore you have to convert such time to a 12hr time for it to be meaningful.
METHOD OF CHANGING A 24HR TIME TO A 12HR TIME
When your time is more than 12:00, subtract 12 from it ti get the exact time.Example;
1. If the time on Kofi's watch is 14:00. convert to a 12hr time.
SOLUTION
14-12=2
Therefore, the time is 2:00
2. If a time is given as 21:00 in a 24hr time, convert it to a 12hr time.
SOLUTION
21-12=9
Therefore, the time is 9:00
