A force is a push or a pull of an object.
EFFECT OF FORCE ON AN OBJECT
1. Stop a moving object.
2. Causes an object to move.
3. Lift up weight.
4. Change the shape of the object.
5. Change the direction of an object.
HOW TO LIFT A LOAD
In the event of lifting a weight, the weight of the load must be overcomed by the force applied by the one lifting to the load. If the weight is not overcomed by the applied force, the object can never be lifted up. This is why it is more difficult to lift a heavy object than a lighter one. For example a paper could be more easily lifted up than a table.
WORK
Work is done when an applied force moves an object in the direction of the applied force.
