PERIMETER AND AREA OF A SHAPE PART I BS 6

Perimeter refers to the total sum of the circumference around an object. And area is the extent or the measurement of the surface area.

PERIMETER OF SIMPLE SHAPES

FIGURE FORMULA NOMENCLATURE
Perimeter= a+b+c Area=½bh a,b,c: sides Base, height
Perimeter = 4a and area= a² a=side
PERIMETER 2b + 2h Area= we will come back same b = base H=height
Perimeter is 2Ï€r AreaÏ€r² r=rasiums

PERIMETER OF A TRIANGLE
From the notes above, we got to know that, when finding the perimeter of a triangle, add all the sides of the triangle. Therefore with this, let's solve an example;
SAMPLE 1: find the perimeter of the triangle.
SOLUTION
 3cm + 5cm + 4cm
=12cm

END OF LESSON EXERCISE
